Summer is HOT and so are we! BrandWorks is turning up the heat with great ideas for your business, outdoor event, family reunion, vendor event, or any occasion where you may need a promotional product, a give-away item, corporate apparel, or custom shirts! So here comes another tip for your business called…
One Size Does Not Fit All
Customer Acquisition — Customer Retention — Internal Promotion.
Each of these marketing activities require different items, budgets, quantities, creativeness, and campaigns. Customer Acquisition may require three to five stages; prospecting, initial call, follow up, close, and follow up after the sale. Customer Retention could depend on how aggressive your competition and industry is. If you sell a specialty product or service, your customer base could be small; therefore, may suppliers may be competing for the same dollars. Consistent client interaction may be important. Internal Promotion is key. As the economy improves, employees may look to increase their income by leaving your company for new opportunities. Employee turnover is expensive. Having an Employee Appreciation program in place develops loyalty and increases productivity. Also, Safety Programs, Sales Incentives, and Benchmark Successes all should be rewarded. People expect appreciation and recognition.
I hope that this is some good information for you and your business. Check out our new website!
Have a great summer!

Go Small – Go Often:

Time for another marketing trend report. So next on the hit list is the topic: Go Small – Go Often.
Marketing is most effective when touching the same audience multiple times. Promotional items that are used over and over, day to day are most successful. Brand reinforcement is the key. To target your audience, opt-in is key. Here’s How: Mobile Marketing as discussed earlier is 100% opt-in. Direct mail should come with a coupon, offer, or other way to lure a prospect. Buy very nice, desirable give-a-ways and have prospects and/or customers earn them with a visit to your store, post a review on Facebook, to interact with your company in a unique to you way. Also, say Thank You and give a gift. Need a reason? A spike in their sales, your company anniversary, customer appreciation, holiday, celebrate their success, or other information found on their website or Facebook page. “It’s the thought that counts” rings true. People want to be liked and appreciated. They will react positive to most any gift.
I was on a training call today titled “Women Selling Smarter” with expert in promotional products and education, Rosalie Marcus. During the call she said some key tips that pertain to any business. Here is one tip that hits home for almost every sales person: Don’t Work with the wrong client. Think about the type of client you want, write it down, and find them! Stop wasting your time with clients that are hard to work with, always want a price cut, will shop your competition that they have no relationship with, and never pay on time! Hope that this helps you and your business!
Until next time!!!! Many Blessings

Marketing Trend Report — Mobile Marketing

My last blog was about the marketing trends on apparel. Now I would like to shed some light on the marketing trends for mobile marketing. Mobile marketing is the newest and the hottest form of marketing for businesses of all kinds. So what is mobile marketing and and what can it do for me?
Mobile Marketing: Smartphones are everywhere. As Apple is about to introduce the iphone 5, the 3G and 4G versions will become very affordable to the age 13-21 demographic. This means more people are going to their cell phone instead of their computer. 97% of people read their text messages. To capture this audience, the most popular way is short-code texting. Example: text BRAND to 55777. Now, the person has opted-in to your marketing and expects to receive information, coupons, or promotions to your company. Popular marketing techniques are Text to Win where every 5th person wins a prize, Text to Code where an auto-reply text is the coupon for your product or service to be used now, and Text to PDF where your printed information is emailed. This saves money on printed material as well as distribution.
Also, QR codes can be used to offer a video from your YouTube page. Once a video is viewed, the default is to your YouTube page where they can view other videos as well. QR codes should come with a mobile-optimized landing page. Something that can be created and edited in just a few minutes.
I hope this information has given you some fresh insight. Please let me know if you want more information on Mobile Marketing I would be glad to get you to the right person to help you. Be on the look out for my next Marketing Trend Report.

Now that I have entered the promotional marketing world I have some new insight on trends for this month and months to come. These trends may help you and your business, or they might just be something interesting to read.
Apparel: Cotton prices have steadily risen over the past 6 months about 40%. As a result, one of the most popular promotional marketing items, the cotton T-shirt, price will rise about 20% on June 1, 2011. There are two ways to offset this, first – buy the more expensive moisture-wicking T-shirts (those prices will remain the same), yet buy fewer (to stay in budget) and distribute to a more targeted audience; because they will receive a nicer shirt, the chance of it being worn again and again is higher, giving your business more exposure. Secondly, look at other items in your price range. Cap prices will remain stable. Look at lifestyle products; things that people use at home, work, or in the car, or Mobile Marketing. T-shirts are targeted to a younger audience, and that audience is open to mobile or text marketing.
I hope that you enjoyed this Promotional Marketing Trends Report on apparel. Look for a new report on Mobile Marketing soon! It is hot and sunny here and I hope that each of you takes the time today to slow down and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Many Blessings,
Shannon
A Fresh Start

Hello Again! Every time I make a commitment to writing on my blog more often I don’t. Seems like something that I should put on my calendar to do. That way I have a reminder ever month to write something on here. So this is about my fresh start. It seems like in my life, and I am sure in many others as well, things are constantly changing. Rick and I moved to a house in Doylestown in the beginning of this month. I started working for a great friend of mine’s company called BrandWorks. So I am now helping businesses with promotional design (any promotional product you can imagine), corporate apparel (even undergarments can be branded), and mobile marketing (like Text 12345 for a coupon to Joe’s Crab Shack). I am very excited about entering into the promotional product field because I have been focusing on incentives for companies for two years now and I really feel that any company that does gifts and incentives for their customers or employees also has promotional product and marketing needs. Actually every business that gets started has some kind of promotional product or apparel need. I love a new challenge! Please direct message me if you have any questions about what marketing services I can help you or someone you know with!
I have also added the beautiful Fifth Avenue Collection jewelry line to Gifts By Shannon! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this jewelry line! There is something for EVERYBODY! For women who love to sparkle, something a little more simple, for men, for children, and the summer favorites toe rings and anklets!!!!! All the jewelry is hand crafted, sterling silver, 14K gold posts, Swarvoski crystal, natural gem stones, lead and nickle free! So if you want to have some fun with your friends and get some FREE jewelry contact me!!!!! Check out my new site: www.fifthavenuecollection.com/sreinhardt
Last but not at all least, Rick and I are starting to try to have a baby. This is very exciting and very scary at the same time. Hopefully things will go smoothly and we will get pregnant soon and have a healthy baby!!!!
Till next time! My prayer for you and yours! Have a blessed week! oxoxo

It is February already….Love is in the air with Valentine’s Day right around the corner. So life has changed a LOT since my last blog posting. I am going to make an effort to update this blog at least once a month!
In the beginning of December 2010 I took a look at a new business opportunity and decided that it would be the next best step for our family. So I got started with a start up electric company called Ignite (Stream Energy). They just launched here in PA 3 months ago. Rick and are thrilled to tell you that our new business venture has been very successful since day one! The month of December (with the holidays and everything) we made over $1800!!!!!! So for a start up part-time business that is awesome! We are really excited about what we have to share with people. We offer extremely competitive rates on energy for people that live in the PECO and PPL territories in PA. So if you are interested in checking it out here is our new site: www.ReinhardtEnergy.com
Rick and I are also looking at making some major changes in our other businesses. Gifts By Shannon has gotten ride of some old product lines and I am in negotiations with vendors for some new fresh products for 2011. So look for updates constantly on www.giftsbyshannon.com
Reinhardt Leadership Team is under construction. We are changing the product lines and our focus. We are going from a marketing based website to a business and personal coach website. We are gonna offer free Newsletters with success principles on a monthly basis to everyone that goes onto our site and submits their information. Our website is under construction so please keep that in mind if things seem out of place. We will also be offering success principle, sales, and relationship books for sale on our website. So many many exciting things to come there! Check us out: www.ReinhardtLT.com
Some friends of mine are launching a new company called Allentown Auto Connection and I am helping them a little bit with the Grand Opening. They are offering a discount auto rewards program. You pay $20 to be a member and save 5-10% on all services for your vehicle. Services like: oil changes, brakes, windshield replacement, car washes, auto parts, and more!!!!! It is a really awesome service so stay tuned for updates on that! I know I am getting a membership card asap!
I decided that I am going to write a book. I have a lot of ideas in my head and I am just beginning to get some of them down on paper……..so very excited about that. So any tips from authors would be welcomed.
Rick and I have been doing great too. We recently went through some challenges but, we talked about it and figured out what was going wrong and made a commitment to working on our marriage and making it our first priority. With that we started fixing things that we really wanted to about each of our businesses and I truly believe that over the next several months we are going to be prospering in so many ways because we decided to band together as a couple. We took a step back and focused on what was really important and now we have so many new and exciting things happening. Plus we are truly happy to be with each other all the time. Marriage takes a lot of work, but the work is definitely worth the effort.
I have also decided to get serious about my health this year, but this was not a new year’s resolution, and started taking ZUMBA classes! I am so excited to see and feel my results. Plus it is fun and I get to do it with friends!!!!
A common word of advice “don’t take anything for granted.” Yet we do every day. Think about that.
Until next time.
Blessings
We are all Warriors at Heart

To much time has passed since my last update! It is now June 21 and my birthday is coming up on Wednesday! How exciting it is! On Wednesday my mom, dad, grandma, Rick and I are all going to a play. It is the story of Joseph from the Bible and I am really looking forward to it! Thursday we leave for Louisville KY for 2 days, then drive up to Carmel Indiana for my cousins wedding and then on the way home with a pit stop in Ohio to see the Reds on home field! Awesome! I am really looking forward to our vacation!
Recently I have been working on a new project! Well really Gifts By Shannon and Reinhardt Leadership Team have teamed up and are working on a program to do fundraisers for schools! Any school! Elementary, Middle School, High School, Local Colleges, and even Universities can benefit greatly by working with us. It will not cost the schools anything but we will donate part of all proceeds back to the school! If anyone has any connections with a school I would love an introduction.
I just finished reading the AMAZING book ‘Warrior Chicks’ by Holly Wagner for the 2nd time. I would recommened this book to any woman (even men too)! I got so much out of this book the first time around and now I was ready to get so much more out of it. I would have to agree with Holly that our world is looking and waiting for a company of people who will rise in the midst of hard times. We are either a casualty or a warrior. I choose to be a warrior. Being a warrior is an attitude.
Being a warrior means loving myself first then passing that gift of love to others. Jesus told us that one of the most important things we can do is love other people. In fact He said to love others as we love ourselves. We probably do. That may be why we are not that great at loving others — because we are not that great at loving ourselves.
Warriors, somehow, find joy in the midst of darkness. Trials come to us all. They are not optional. “In Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade.”-Psalm 139:14. God’s intention, no matter what battle we face, is for us to overcome. The rising that we must do starts inside. Others are watching to see how we handle this battle. They want answers and they are hoping that we have some. Whatever your battle is…rise…your strength will give strength to others.
Warriors stay at their post. In 1776, the Revolutionary War was raging. The young colonials fought valiantly, risking it all for freedom. Most were not trained soldiers. They were simply passionate about liberty. One such colonial was stationed at his cannon during the battle of Fort Washington. The sounds of war screamed. Bullets and cannonballs exploded around him. One of them found its mark and killed him. His wife, Margaret Corbin, took over the manning of the cannon until she herself was wounded. Thanks, Margaret, for staying at your post.
One of my posts is…wife. Marriage is not for the weak or faint of heart. It will require everything you have to make it work. It will demand that you change, that you learn, that you adapt. Two becoming one sounds a lot easier than it really is. Marriage is more like each of you coming together with a box of parts. You each bring your own box of parts: your past, your hurts, your personalities, your issues…and together you are going to build something amazing. It will just require serious work. There are times when you won’t be happy. (It is not your husbands job to make you happy, by the way. That would be your job. Ouch!) Always do your part in making the marriage interesting. Love life. People who DECIDE to love life are fun to be around. Don’t be so needy. Really listen when he talks. Be interested in sex and don’t let intimacy die in your marriage. Find the warrior in the man that you married.
Other posts are teacher, business owner, friend, daughter.
My main post is…believer. In the midst of the battle can I still believe in the goodness of God? Yes. We are here on earth to finish our race. We cannot abandon the posts we have been assigned to. I want to live my life so that when my days are done and I meet my maker He says, “well done good and faithful servant.”
Warriors keep their focus! We can dream about the future and remember the past but we control only the present. Yet rarely do we live in it. We are to live in this moment for the future. If we are going to make it through our battles we must remember our focus. Focus on the victory, not the challenge.
Warriors are never alone. We are meant to do life together. And doing life together takes work. It will take understanding differences because we are different. The goal is to support each other in our differences. That is what makes the platoon stronger. United we stand. Divided we fall. Let’s stand together.
Warriors overcome. To become an overcomer we must realize that we were created to be an overcomer. Let go of any baggage from our yesterdays that we are dragging into our today. Yes, you were a victim and bad things happened to you. Please deal with the stuff in your heart so that you can become an overcomer. Forgive. Let go. You will never be able to change your past. But you do have the power to create your future. A future unhindered by the pain of yesterday. But only if you want it. Forgetting closes the door to our past and reaching ahead opens the door to our future. An overcomer is someone that uses his or her past to give someone else a future. As an overcomer…you become a light for someone else. Be who you are destined to be.
I am a beautiful Warrior Chick! Work in progress every day…becoming who I am destined to be.
Many Blessings,
Shannon

A lot has happened since I last wrote. Rick and I are all moved into our new home!!!!! We now live on a beautiful 18 acre farm. I am sitting in my new office and it is a gorgeous day outside. Signs of spring are everywhere. I recently meet this fantastic women named Marisol and she is so inspiring to me. She has a family, is in the lending industry, operates a woman’s networking chapter, is very active in her church and community, and raises her two kids. Women of strength! I have had the privileged of attending two of her networking events and I must say that they are unique and refreshing! I have meet so many awesome women and even a few men that are leaders in their industries and communities. I love being around winners.
I also am a new member of a BNI (Business Networking International) . I have been a member for a little over a month now and just finished up a full day of training yesterday. I have been members to several business networking groups and referral groups over the past year and I must say that I dropped all the other groups because I saw that I could accomplish more with this BNI Chapter for my business and for other businesses in my area then I was doing at 3 Groups prior. They have a system and if you follow it, it works! I was hesitant to go to a BNI because so many people had told me that they had too many restrictions and that they had too many politics in their meetings. I went after a great friend of mine Scott told me what he was getting from his experience with BNI. I do not regret it. Yes, they are structured AND THAT IS WHY IT WORKS. People that cannot follow simple codes of ethics , have integrity in doing business, and work hard to achieve their goals should not join. But I promise you that if you are looking for a way to increase your sales or build your clientele then check out a BNI in your area might help you. I do not get compensated for telling anyone this I am just letting you know that it is working for me and it may work for you.
I got a call from my mentor yesterday and he told me that someone had read my blog and then proceeded to google some “highly resourceful” info off some of the things that I have written about. Google does not guarantee CREDIBLE RESOURCES. I asked a lawyer one time if they use google to research for their cases and he laughed at me and told me no. Please understand that if you want CREDIBLE INFORMATION that you might want to think about going to a credible source like: the BBB, the FTC, or perhaps a person that is already SUCCESSFUL in the endeavor that you are looking into. WAKE UP! Anyone can publish a article or a blog and have it come up in a search engine. They do not put their name on it because they are not credible in any way. Have the backbone to get REAL RESOURCES.
Did you know that statistically, only 5% of the population will be able to retire without assistance? 36% will have already died, 6% will continue working, 53% will be dependent on friends, relatives, government, or charity for their survival. And who do you think is that lucky 5%? The people who failed the most during their lifetimes, took risks, worked smart and hard, and got back up when they fell. I am willing to bet that the 5% of people that have financial dignity are not employees. They are most likely business owners of some kind. Look at the Fortune 500 Richest people in America — they are not employees. Not that being an employee is bad….it just does not guarantee you or your family anything but what you have this moment. As a large part of the American population has found out with over the past 2 years with a large amount of lay-offs. If that company cannot afford to keep you — you are gone. That is why I believe so strongly in having a Plan B. My Plan B is now my Plan A. My mentors had a Plan B and now that is their Plan A. God forbid if something happened to either one of them, the other would be able to comfortably pay all the bills and take care of what is most important because they took care of the financial part already. I do not talk about being rich and having money because I am materialistic. I talk about having a lot of money because I do not want money to control my families every decision. When you make more than enough money you do not have to worry about it all the time. You and your family are taken care of. Then you can give back to your community and to the people that need it. When I was broke there was no way for me to help someone else out that had a need.
“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood and sorry that I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth. Then took the other just as fair And having perhaps the better claim Because it was grassy and wanted wear. Though as for that, the passing there Had worn them really about the same. And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet, knowing how way leads onto way I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh. Somewhere ages and ages hence. Two roads diverged in a wood And I took the one less traveled by and that has made ALL the difference.” — Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken

This past weekend my husband and I were in Baltimore, MD for a business conference that was awesome! I love going to Baltimore and I love it even more when I am able to gain knowledge and apply that knowledge to my business and personal growth. There is so many exciting things that are going on! Rick and I are in business together and then I also and have my own business in the gift and incentive industry. We are privileged to work with a lot of great people and great companies. One of the companies I work with is a supply company that I am going to refer to as AG. AG has been around for 50 years, they are debt free, had 8.2 Billion in sales in 2008, and from 2008 to 2009 they went up by 15% in proceeds (which is really significant considering that most other companies were or are downsizing in the economy). I will admit some people have tried to give AG a bad rap in the past and I am sure that there will always be someone out there that does not like them but that is ok. To be truly successful you are going to have critics. I believe AG has done nothing but rise above all that and shown how much of a first class company they are. I am so impressed with some of the most recent press about AG that I am excited to share it with you…
This January AG proudly announced that ARTISTRY® Skin Care and Cosmetics, beauty power brand of AG, is the Official Skin Care and Cosmetics Provider of the Miss America Pageant. Artistry will hold the title for both the 2010 and 2011 Miss America Pageants. The sponsorship will also give the Miss America Organization the opportunity to work with the entire AG family of brands. Artistry is a global leader in prestige beauty, offering unprecedented skin care solutions backed by dermatologist testing, the most advanced science, unparalleled proof of performance, and personalized service unmatched by any beauty counter in the world. Artistry generates more than $1 billion in annual global sales and has been one of the world’s top five best-selling prestige beauty brands for more than ten years. There is also an Artistry scholarship, sponsored by AG, that will allow women to shine, but in a different way. The Miss America Organization is one of the nation’s leading achievement programs and the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. The Artistry Scholarship was created to empower American women to help achieve their personal and professional goals.
On January 18, 2010 the well-known author and financial planner Robert Pagliarini wrote a blog on CBSmoneywatch.com about Why You Should Join AG. In the article he shared his personal experiences he had with AG in 1995-1996 and how it help him get a business owner mindset and lead him in the direction he is now successful in! Robert Pagliarini is obsessed with empowering others to live life to the fullest by radically changing the way they spend their other 8 hours. Robert is the author of The Other 8 Hours: Maximize Your Free Time to Create New Wealth & Purpose and the No. 1 bestseller Six-Day Financial Makeover. He has appeared as an expert on 20/20, Good Morning America, Dr. Phil, ABC Morning News, and in The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Money Magazine, and many others. Robert is the president of Pacifica Wealth Advisors, Inc., a boutique wealth management firm specializing in sudden money recipients. He is a Certified Financial Planner and has a master’s degree in financial services.
AG immediately responded to the disaster when Haiti got hit with a series of earthquakes. AG committed $100,000 to be divided between the American Red Cross and SOS Children’s Village for disaster relief. AG also offered a way for all of their business owners and customers to help by making a $10 donation SKU # 101900 and a $25 donation SKU #101901. AG will match all donations up to an additional $100,000 for the disaster relief in Haiti.
On January 19, 2010 an AG corporate plane transported medical personnel and supplies to Haiti and brought back medical missionaries who were there when the quake struck one week ago. Then on January 21, 2010 AG donated their private jet so that sixteen families from West Michigan and many more from around the country could head to Miami to pick up 58 Haitian orphans who have been granted release from their earthquake-ravaged country through emergency humanitarian parole. All the soon-to-be parents had been working with Grand Rapids-based Bethany Christian Services to adopt the children from a Haitian orphanage called “God’s Littlest Angels.” See the whole article on www.mlive.com.
AG’s leading vitamin line Nutrilite has decided that for 2010, the primary outreach efforts and sponsorships will include the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series of distance races and the nationwide Phytonutrient Campaign. AG will also continue to sponsor the San Jose Earthquakes, the Los Angeles Sol, and soccer club A.C. Milan, as well as maintain relationships with soccer superstars Ronaldinho and Marta.
These are just a few things that have been happening since we rang in the new year 2010! I can only speak from my personal experiences and I have had nothing but a wonderful business backed by a industry leading company. AG offers great products, great services, great compensation, and a company that is so generous in helping others that you can be proud to represent them.
Happy New Year! Let’s make 2010 count! Let’s make a difference this year! Impacting others for generations to come!

This morning I woke up and got ready to go early to my Gold Star Referral Club. I am the team leader there and in charge of running the meeting. After breakfast I headed home to work on my new website. I have two new site that I would be delighted for you to check out! My Gifts By Shannon site: www.giftsbyshannon.com and my husband and I’s Reinhardt Leadership Team site: www.reinhardtlt.com.
Giftsbyshannon.com is about my gifts and incentives company. I have some sample pictures of baskets that I have made recently. I also have Ribbon Gifts and Incentives up there to view. This was my first time putting together a website by myself, but I think I did a great job! Reinhardtlt.com is about Rick and I’s business, products and services, and our business opportunity. I have to say that a lot of people are very busy this time of year and it is a great time of year to GROW your business. I am in full steam mode! A lot of people around me are slowing down….well I say lets speed up and enter the new year with a bang!
I am reading a book called the Slight Edge by Jeff Olson. What an amazing book. Any person could pick up this book and get something out of it. Jeff talks about the reason some people succeed and while other people fail. I have often wondered why one person given an opportunity succeeds tremendously and another with the same opportunity plunders and blames everyone else for their own failure. Jeff talks about the Slight Edge — daily small decisions that lead to success. Like I could eat a cheeseburger and fries today and I will not gain 5 pounds immediately or have heart failure….however if I choose to eat unhealthy like that every day for several years I ill have gained a lot of weight and possibly have heart problems. Daily decisions. I can choose to read a self improving book like the Slight Edge for 15 + minutes a day which over a year would mean I read 10-12 books that sharpened my people skills, leadership skills, and how I run my business. That makes a huge impact but it is just a small daily decision that is easy to do, but for too many people, also easy not to do.
Choose today to do something different. Even if you just decide to go for a brisk walk — doing that on a consistent basis will make you healthier and more energetic! I have been going to the Planet Fitness in my area for about 2 and a half months now, and I feel great! I have lost weight and feel a huge difference in my attitude, energy levels, and I feel stronger and able to do daily activities easier than before. Now that I see some results I am excited to go to the gym because I like what I get out of it. I don’t like working out, but I like the result of working out. You don’t have to like everything you do, but the result of that “thing” could really improve your life. Some things to think about. I encourage you to pick up the Slight Edge by Jeff Olson.
Enjoy your Holidays with your family and loved ones. I wish you nothing but the very best for you and your family for the new year. We need people in this world that are happy, healthy, and willing to roll up their sleeves to make an impact on this country. I am. Lets make a difference together.
